- ¼ cup carrots, shredded
Dressing Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 3 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
- Prepare Salad: In a medium bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, crumbled bacon, chopped red onion, slivered red cabbage, and shredded carrots. Mix gently and set aside.
- Make Dressing: In a separate bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, olive oil, honey, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and season with salt and pepper to taste until well combined and smooth.
- Toss Salad: Pour the Honey Dijon dressing over the prepared salad ingredients. Toss everything together thoroughly so the salad is evenly coated with the dressing.
- Serve or Chill: Serve the salad immediately for a fresh crunch, or refrigerate it for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld and chill before serving. Keep refrigerated until ready to eat.
Notes
- For best texture, add the bacon just before serving to keep it crispy.
- This salad can be made a few hours ahead, but avoid adding the dressing until right before serving if you prefer extra crunch.
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup for a vegan option but note that the recipe contains bacon which is not vegan.
- Adjust salt and pepper according to taste preference.
- Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container and consume within 2 days.
