Description

A wholesome and crunchy Paleo cereals breakfast made from a blend of raw nuts, seeds, unsweetened dried fruits, and coconut flakes, lightly sweetened with honey or maple syrup and baked to a golden perfection. This nutritious cereal is perfect to enjoy with almond milk or yogurt for a healthy start to the day.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)
  • 1/2 cup chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened dried fruits (cranberries, raisins)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the cereal mix.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the mixed nuts, chia seeds or flaxseeds, coconut flakes, and unsweetened dried fruits until evenly distributed.
  3. Add Sweetener: Drizzle honey or maple syrup over the dry mixture and toss well to ensure all components are lightly coated with the sweetener.
  4. Bake: Spread the mixture evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cereal turns a golden brown color, stirring halfway through for an even bake.
  5. Cool and Serve: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the cereal to cool completely. Serve the cereal with almond milk or your choice of yogurt for a nutritious breakfast.

Notes

  • Chia seeds or flaxseeds can be used interchangeably based on preference.
  • Adjust the amount of honey or maple syrup to your desired sweetness.
  • Make sure to stir the mixture halfway through baking to avoid burning and to ensure even toasting.
  • Store any leftover cereal in an airtight container for up to one week to maintain freshness.
  • For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla extract before baking.
