Description

Gooey S’mores Rolls combine the nostalgic flavors of classic campfire s’mores into an easy, baked dessert featuring crescent roll dough filled with chocolate, mini marshmallows, and graham cracker crumbs. These warm, soft rolls are brushed with butter and sprinkled with sugar for a perfect golden finish and are quick to prepare for any sweet craving.

Ingredients

Scale

Roll Dough

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

Filling

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped milk chocolate
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 4 graham cracker sheets, crushed into small pieces

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chocolate chips for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
  2. Prepare Crescent Dough: Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate it carefully into individual triangles, which will serve as the base for your s’mores rolls.
  3. Add Filling: Evenly sprinkle each triangle with crushed graham crackers, chocolate chips or chopped chocolate, and mini marshmallows. Be sure to leave a small border around the edges to make rolling easier and prevent filling from leaking out.
  4. Roll Up the Triangles: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll each triangle toward the tip, enclosing the filling securely within the dough to create individual rolls.
  5. Prepare for Baking: Place the rolled crescents onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly. Brush the tops of each roll with the melted unsalted butter to help them brown and add richness.
  6. Sugar Sprinkle: Lightly sprinkle granulated sugar over the buttered tops for a touch of sweet crunch and a beautiful golden finish once baked.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the rolls turn a lovely golden brown and puff up.
  8. Optional Chocolate Topping: If desired, immediately after removing the rolls from the oven, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top so they gently melt over the warm rolls, enhancing gooeyness.
  9. Cool and Serve: Allow the s’mores rolls to cool for a few minutes on a wire rack before serving to enjoy the perfect gooey texture without burning your mouth.

Notes

  • For extra richness and chunkier chocolate pockets, use chocolate chunks instead of chips.
  • Serve these rolls warm to enjoy the gooey, melty texture reminiscent of classic s’mores.
  • Best enjoyed the same day for optimal freshness, but leftover rolls can be briefly reheated in the oven.
