Description

Gooey S’mores Rolls are a delightful twist on classic s’mores, featuring crescent roll dough filled with chocolate, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers. Baked to golden perfection and topped with a buttery sugar glaze, these rolls offer a warm, melty, and irresistibly sweet treat perfect for dessert or anytime snacking.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Dough

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

Filling

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped milk chocolate
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 4 graham cracker sheets, crushed into small pieces

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chocolate chips for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate it carefully into individual triangles.
  3. Add Fillings: On each triangle, sprinkle crushed graham crackers, chocolate chips or chopped milk chocolate, and mini marshmallows, making sure to leave a small border around the edges to help seal the rolls.
  4. Roll the Dough: Starting from the wide end of each triangle, gently roll the dough towards the tip, enclosing the gooey filling inside as much as possible to prevent leakage during baking.
  5. Arrange Rolls: Place each rolled triangle seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart.
  6. Brush with Butter and Sugar: Brush the tops of the rolls generously with melted unsalted butter, then sprinkle with granulated sugar for a lightly sweet, crisp topping.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed up and a beautiful golden brown.
  8. Add Optional Topping: If desired, immediately after removing the rolls from the oven, sprinkle additional chocolate chips over the warm rolls so they melt slightly, enhancing the chocolatey gooeyness.
  9. Cool Slightly and Serve: Let the rolls cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before serving to allow the filling to set slightly while maintaining gooey texture.

Notes

  • For extra richness and chunkier texture, use chocolate chunks instead of chocolate chips.
  • Serve the rolls warm to enjoy the best gooey and melty texture.
  • These rolls are best consumed the same day but can be reheated briefly in the oven to restore warmth and softness.
