Description

A decadent Caramel Brulée Latte combining rich espresso, sweet caramel syrup, and creamy steamed milk, topped with whipped cream, toffee bits, and a drizzle of caramel sauce for a delightful dessert-style coffee experience.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Latte

  • ½ ounce (15 ml) caramel syrup or caramel sauce
  • ⅓ cup (80 ml) espresso or very strong coffee
  • ½ cup (120 ml) whole milk or 2% milk

Toppings

  • ¼ cup (60 ml) whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon crushed toffee bits (optional)
  • Additional caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew the Coffee: Prepare ⅓ cup (80 ml) of espresso or very strong coffee and pour it into a latte mug. Stir in ½ ounce (15 ml) of caramel syrup until fully blended. Ensure the coffee is hot enough to mix smoothly with the milk.
  2. Steam the Milk: Using a milk frother, steam the ½ cup (120 ml) of whole or 2% milk until it becomes warm and frothy, creating a creamy, velvety texture that’s perfect for a latte.
  3. Combine Milk and Coffee: Slowly pour the steamed milk over the espresso and caramel mixture in the mug. Pour gently to create a layered effect and retain the aroma of the coffee on top.
  4. Add the Toppings: Top the latte with a generous ¼ cup (60 ml) dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of crushed toffee bits over the whipped cream if desired, then drizzle additional caramel sauce for extra sweetness and a beautiful finish.
  5. Enjoy: Sip slowly to savor the rich blend of caramel sweetness, creamy milk, and robust espresso flavors in every warming mouthful.

Notes

  • Use freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less caramel syrup to your taste.
  • To create a dairy-free version, substitute milk and whipped cream with plant-based alternatives.
  • Crushed toffee bits are optional but add a nice crunchy texture and extra sweetness.
  • You can prepare the caramel syrup at home or buy store-bought caramel sauce for convenience.
