Description

This Batch Midnight Tart Cherry Mocktail is a refreshing and tangy non-alcoholic beverage combining tart cherry juice, lime, honey, and vanilla with sparkling water. It’s quick to prepare, perfect for summer gatherings or anytime you want a flavorful, bubbly mocktail without alcohol.

Ingredients

Scale

Concentrate Ingredients

  • 1 cup (8 oz) tart cherry juice
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Zest of 2 limes
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Celtic sea salt

To Serve

  • Sparkling water (such as Gerolsteiner), amount as needed
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Make the concentrate: Combine the tart cherry juice, lime juice, honey, lime zest, vanilla extract, and Celtic sea salt in a jar or blender.
  2. Mix thoroughly: Shake the jar well or blend the mixture for about 2 minutes until it becomes slightly frothy, ensuring all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Store the concentrate: Pour the concentrate into a container and refrigerate. It can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Prepare the mocktail to serve: When ready to serve, shake the concentrate well. Fill a glass halfway with ice, pour 1/2 cup of the cherry limeade concentrate over the ice.
  5. Add sparkling water: Top the glass with 1/2 cup of sparkling water, maintaining a 1:1 ratio of concentrate to sparkling water for the perfect balance of flavor and fizz.

Notes

  • Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor.
  • Adjust honey quantity to taste if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet mocktail.
  • Store the concentrate in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
  • You can substitute the tart cherry juice with unsweetened cherry juice if desired.
  • Serve immediately after mixing with sparkling water to maintain carbonation.
