Description

A refreshing and delightful Apple Cider Float combining creamy vanilla bean ice cream with chilled apple cider, garnished with warm cinnamon and aromatic star anise for a perfect seasonal treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Float Ingredients

  • 1 cup Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (8 ounces)
  • 1 cup Cold Apple Cider (or sparkling apple cider)

Garnishes

  • Cinnamon Sugar (optional garnish)
  • Red Apple Slices
  • Cinnamon Stick
  • Whole Star Anise

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Choose a tall glass and fill it about two-thirds full with the vanilla bean ice cream, creating a creamy base for your float.
  2. Add the Apple Cider: Slowly pour the cold apple cider over the ice cream. If using sparkling apple cider, pour gently to control the bubbles and avoid overflow.
  3. Garnish the Float: Decorate the float with a fan of red apple slices along the rim, insert a cinnamon stick and a whole star anise for aroma, and sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the top and down the side of the glass for a sweet, spiced touch.
  4. Serve Immediately: Present your apple cider float right away to enjoy the contrast of creamy ice cream and crisp apple cider while fresh and cold.

Notes

  • Use sparkling apple cider for a fizzy variation that enhances the float’s texture.
  • Adjust cinnamon sugar garnish to taste, or omit for a less sweet option.
  • Red apple slices not only add flavor but also provide a decorative element; choose crisp apples like Fuji or Honeycrisp.
  • Serve immediately to prevent the ice cream from melting too quickly.
